While maintaining its positive mission to defeat hunger across the globe, the Welthungerhilfe NGO supports more than 8.4 million people each year, offering opportunities for a better future and providing vital assistance in times of crisis.

Guided by the fundamental principle of empowering people to help themselves, the new identity aims to reflect this with a more personal and empowering expression.

What we did

Inspired by the positive commitment to end global hunger, the new brand mark originates from the heritage of the wheat symbol, and extends outwards to become the meridians of the globe, symbolizing the necessity of acting in unity.

Inspired by the growth cycle of wheat a distinct color palette was born, supported by a typeface that conveys a sense of humanitarian urgency. Resulting in a new expression that communicates critical topics in an optimistic and yet urgent manner, with a simple underline, used as a thread across the identity, to highlight and draw attention to the mission of a world without hunger.
